center built for the poor children of the Philippines. For

$7,000 it was built and was opened in July, 2006.

How did it happen? In the same year of 2005, after my

trip to Sri Lanka to help the displaced school children of

the massive Tsunami, I realized I could also do good to

our poor children in the Philippines. I consulted the once

homeless Filipino man, Noel, whose love for our country

is the same as mine. He's no longer homeless because I

gave him a roof over his head. Soon after, he climbed a

Every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., the Rotary Club hold its meeting that includes a fellowship during the first hour, when all attendees have a chance to unwind and socialize with their fellow Rotarians. I intend to share this kind of fellowship with our Palm Coast Rotary Club in Florida.  The second hour is devoted to discussions of our local projects like street cleaning, tree planting, feeding the malnourished children in schools, etc.

9/05  THURSDAY

I went food shopping and bought a variety of fruits, e.g. papaya, pineapple, cantaloupe and carrots and squeezed them myself.

Here is a story of how I became a Rotarian and am proud to be one.

Here is a story of how I became a Rotarian and am proud to be one.

I became a Rotarian in 2006 when Rotarian Veronica Maggs Thornton showed her eagerness in helping me with Joy & Care-Giving Foundation, Inc. (JCGF), the foundation I founded.  Based in Flagler County Florida, JCGF has undertaken a mission of eradicating poverty in the Philippines through education.  In order to accomplish this , JCGF built St. Anthony Development & Learning Center so that children, who otherwise would not receive quality early childhood education, have the opportunity to attend school.

BEING A TEACHER AND A NEW COMER TO A MISSION By: Teacher Wilma God intends to use me in a wonderful unexpected ways, it’s been a long time journey, before I discover something…something that I can strictly say, “my true fulfillment”… my essence of being a human…to do my task…my unfolding purpose. God has a plan for all of us and I believe that this is His will, that’s why he brings me into the wonderful world of teaching. Teaching is a mission, and it’s true that if you enter into the field of teaching, you have mountains to climb and mountains to move. It is not easy to climb on a mountain.
